Annual Meeting Keeps Supporters Informed

To find out how things are going with the Dial 452-PRAY telephone ministry, attend an annual meeting. The 2006 meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (917 Mead Avenue, Sheboygan). Committees will report, finances will be explained, and tortes will be served. Get to know how this ministry functions. A warm welcome awaits you.

Dial 452-PRAY -- A Local All-Volunteer Organization

Did you know that Dial 452-PRAY had its beginning right here in Sheboygan? Thirty-one years ago, a group of dedicated lay persons felt that our community needed a Christ-Centered message which would be easily accessed via the ministry; and since all work is done by volunteers, there is a place for anyone who wants to help. Message Recording -- A Very Rewarding Experience

Recording the message heard on the telephone has proved to be as much a blessing to those who prepare the messages as to those who call in to hear them. One veteran message-recorder describes how it's done:

1. Start by researching material you have on hand. (Additional material is found in a kit provided by Dial 452-PRAY).
2. Arrange material into 2-minute devotions.
3. Practice reading each devotion, and time it so that the listener hears as much of God's Word as possible.
4. Familiarize yourself with the digital recorder provided.
5. Record your series of messages and turn them in.

Voluntary Donations -- Our Only Income Source

Did you know that it costs at least $125.00 each month to operate the Dial 452-PRAY telephone ministry? All of our money is donated by individuals and organizations who believe in the value of having a Christ-Centered message available on the telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Memorial cards are also available at your church for those who would like to donate in memory of a loved one. Donations may be sent to Dial 452-PRAY at 1121 Georgia Avenue, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
